One of the most awaited decisions in the sport of cycling has finally come to an end after the Court of Arbitration for Sport made a final verdict on Alberto Contador’s case. CAS has sanctioned the cyclist with a two-year ban.

CAS has imposed a two-year ban on Alberto Contador related to his Tour de France 2010 doping allegations. The case was filed by UCI and WADA after the Spanish Cycling Federation freed the cyclist from all the charges back in February 2011.

The 11th edition of the Tour of Qatar has progressed to the second round. A total number of 16 teams gathered at Lusail to compete at the 11.3 kilometre team’s time trial stage of the race.
